Building 4 and Nest Update – May 27 2022

As we enter the final stages of completion for Building Four and The Nest, we transition from construction to a series of final inspections allowing us to obtain a certificate of occupancy and hurricane insurance. While we are confident we will pass inspections, we can’t yet predict the timing of the inspections because we are at the mercy of government agencies tasked with inspections. This is further complicated because the Gulf Shores Fire Department has refused to inspect our facility, forcing us to rely on the State of Alabama Fire Marshall for inspection. The State only provides 30-day windows which we activated last week.

As a result of uncertainty around these inspections, we expect owners to move in no sooner than July 5th and accept reservations for guests no sooner than July 16th. These are not firm dates and are subject to change. We should be able to firm these dates up over the next two weeks. We expect the Nest to open on or around July 16th.
