B4 and Nest Update
Today we failed our County CO inspection on B4 and the Nest. The County identified new issues that Claremont is addressing now. They will continue to work through the weekend and anticipate completing the work by Sunday evening. If we pass next week, we will open B4 East to all owners that accepted the package and had Claremont build out their units on Friday, August 19. B4 West will open after the waterproofing process is complete on August 26 for owners that elected to have Claremont build out their units. The Nest will still require some additional work and may open August 26 if we pass this week. If we fail, then everything will be pushed back one week until we pass.
The following owners elected to take a cash option and finish their units themselves. They will not be provided a certificate of occupancy by the County. They will be required to obtain a building permit from the County by a licensed Alabama contractor before they will be allowed to do any work in their unit. Owners may immediately begin the process of pulling a permit from Baldwin County. Absolutely no work may be done in any of the following units until a building permit is obtained from the County and posted on the door of the condo. Nobody is allowed to occupy the unit until the County has returned, inspected, and issued a certificate of occupancy. These are the units and the scope of work that should be included in your permitting process.
